Unlawful Detainer Eviction

System - Tuesday, August 23, 2022

In the video shown we are executing an eviction at a property in a case where a person was residing in the property without a lease or an agreement, known as an unlawful detainer. The original tenant who was in the home had signed an agreement to vacate but had allowed friends to illegally reside in the home. These friends refused to vacate the property which started the process of an Unlawful Detainer Eviction.

In this case, a cash for keys offer was made with the intent of coming to an amicable result but unfortunately, the offer was not accepted thus starting the eviction process. An unlawful detainer is when a person is in your property without permission, usually in the form of a lease or an agreement.

If, as a tenant, you are ever in this situation please reach out to your landlord. In many cases, landlords do not want to go through an eviction process and it is a negative experience with far reaching consequences.
